With the rapid spread of this infectious virus, many people are concerned about their safety and wellbeing.

In tough times, “health” somehow tends to take a back seat for many people. However, in these challenging times, we at Stuto Foot Specialist Podiatry are here to encourage you to stay healthy and safe because that is our top priority.

While it is true that there are certain groups of people who face a higher risk of being affected, taking a few simple precautions will help them greatly.

Especially those who are diabetic, have respiratory or heart-related diseases, and the elderly, should follow these guidelines strictly:

  • Avoid crowded areas, as exposure to others, increases the risk of contracting the disease.

  • Wash your hands, arms, and face properly. Taking a shower after coming back from outdoors is highly recommended.

  • Wear clean clothes and disinfect your living area frequently.

  • Follow a healthy routine that includes a nutritional diet and regular exercise. These are essential for building a strong immune system.

  • Stress tends to affect our sleep as well.  Getting an adequate amount of sleep is essential, or else your health will suffer; 7-8 hours of sleep is a must for a healthy person to function properly.

  • Don’t let your fluid intake drop. Staying hydrated is important if you want to stay healthy and active.

Staying healthy is also essential for the health of your feet. If you become lazy and fall into the trap of being idle, your feet will suffer the most. Not only will you experience problems with mobility, but you will also increase the risk of issues associated with weight gain like diabetes, heart issues, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and more.

The office of Stuto Foot Specialist Podiatry is taking every necessary precaution to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy. Dr. Joseph Stuto and his dedicated team are adhering to all CDC guidelines on the containment COVID-19.
